Sesshomaru x GN! Human Reader HC
Tumblr media
Even if you were a yokai instead of a human, he still wouldn't be honest about his feelings.
He has too much pride for that to ever be possible.
He's protective of you, and makes up excuses that it's only because you're a human. It's like he always said, humans are weak and pathetic. They're so weak that without his arms around you now you'll die from the cold.
Denies anyone who tells him otherwise, nothing will make him change his mind. He's a mighty yokai who has travelled far and wide, he knows more than you do, so his opinion is more important than yours.
Sessohomaru's hatred for humans persists, but he makes an exception for you. He has no issue with brutally slaughtering humans right in front of you.
Your fights are all one-sided, with you getting angry over something Sesshomaru did. He won't argue with you, but you can tell he's not taking you seriously.
He knows there's nowhere you can run that he won't find. Anything you say about Sesshomaru while talking to Jaken will immediately be reported to his master.
Sesshomaru is far better at receiving affection than giving it. He won't move if you've fallen asleep on top of him, he might even run a hand through your hair.
Surprisingly, he acknowledges your human holidays and festivals. If you ever decide to go to one, he'll buy you a nice hairpin. When the shopkeeper teasingly asks if it's for a lover, he'll nod in response.
Sesshomaru will keep anything you give him, be it a pretty rock or a handmade scarf. He gets annoyed if you give him something that's hard to keep, like a flower. He wants to preserve anything you give him and keep it hidden away.
Sesshomaru enjoys your scent, and occasionally he'll lower his head and sniff your hair and along your neck. He'll also change into his dog form and curl protectively around you at night.
Sesshomaru makes an effort to never let you meet his brother. He thinks Inuyasha and Kagome would be a bad influence on you.

Soulful Jewel- (Yandere!Sesshomaru x Reader) pt 3
Tumblr media
Warnings: yandere relationship, yandere temper, yandere behavior, hurt, betrayal, confrontation, rage, aggressive behavior, yandere behavior, blood, fighting, arguing, not proofread (I probably should get a proofreader at some point)
~~~~~~~~
"So, do you have a big animal form, Lady (Y/n)?"
You glanced over at the little girl that sat on the back of Ah-Un as your group of mismatched ends traveled together. Rin had always been good company during your travels and always seemed to know when you got too lost in your mind and needed a way out. Ever since your mutual Lord both claimed and showed his interest and power over you, you had found yourself feeling more attached to the dog demon.
Despite the less than kind way he had approached you about the subject, you felt an inherent need to stay near him. It felt as if you were bound to him in more ways than one even as you traveled with him and his group. From returning you to life after your sacrifice, to teaching you how to be a demon in feudal Japan, Sesshomaru had done more to help you than hurt you overall.
Now you were pulled from your thoughts by the innocent enough inquiry of the little girl you sacrificed your old life for. It was a good question, did you have an animalistic form? She had spoken about Sesshomaru's dog form several times prior and it made you wonder if you would have a similar fox form. There was also a chance that your form could become less human as you aged and the animalistic features would show through your humanoid form then.
"I don't know, Rin. I think it could be possible."
"Well, why don't you try it now? I'm sure if you try, you could-"
It was then Sesshomaru actually spoke up, Rin quickly silencing herself to hear what he had to say.
"It is still too early in her growth as a demon to attempt such a thing. Should she try and actually succeed she will likely become feral with power and instinct. It is not something to attempt lightly and without good reason."
"Oh," Rin started, "okay, M'Lord!"
It was while Rin was turned to look ahead that you caught a scent on the wind that stopped you in your tracks. Something was painfully familiar about this scent and it made a mixture of emotions well up inside of you, bringing with it a rush of energy that seemed to hum within you. memories came unbidden to the front of your mind as they flashed and played in short clips.
Kagome smiling at you by the campfire.
Songo polishing her giant boomerang.
Shippo curled up against Kirara's side.
Miroku cooking up fish.
Inuyasha training fiercely.
Each memory sent emotions flooding your senses, but they were all overshadowed by pain and with that pain came anger. A burning and broiling rage filled you as you remembered all the injustices done against you by the group and that rage poisoned your mind. The faintest of burns came from where you keep your soul made jewel as you felt a change overcome you.
You heard a voice somewhere near you, but that seemed to be so distant from your mind that you couldn't even focus on what it was saying. All you felt was rage and all you could hear was the blood pounding in your ears. Nothing mattered beyond reaching the source of your pain and putting an end to it.
It wasn't long before you were racing through the forest, headed towards those familiar scents with nothing more than rage on your mind. There was little sound that met your ears other than the profound snapping of branches from your vicious flight forward. A clearing was coming closer as you raced forward, but the moment you burst into the opening another creature slid before you.
A white dog-demon with a purple crescent moon in the center of his forehead snarled at you in warning, his fangs bared and head low. Beyond the dog demon's figure stood a surprised group and their simple presence made a furious growl erupt from within. The dog demon looked over at whatever it was you were snarling at and some kind of understanding seemed to dawn upon him as he turned back to you.
"Enough, (y/n), the human woman isn't worth this rage."
"That bitch left me for dead! I have a right to confront her!"
"As your mate I am demanding you stand down. Back off, (y/n)."
"Never."
He actually seemed surprised at your snarled response and refusal to back down, his demonic aura lessening as his form began to shift back. The group behind the two of you actually reacted now to Sesshomaru who still stood with his back turned to them. Inuyasha was first to draw his blade and prepare for a fight with his elder brother.
"Stand down, half-breed. The vixen doesn't need you or your human pet angering her further."
"What the hell is that supposed to mean?"
It was then you cut in, your voice raw and full of pain. Now the group could hear you as well and it was clear the sound of your voice unsettled them.
"It means you killed me! And when you were done you bastards just left me there! You all deserve the same treatment you gave me!"
"Why the hell do you sound like (y/n)? Answer me damn it!"
"Because I am (y/n)!"
It was then a blue flame surrounded you and you easily leaped past Sesshomaru, ready to dig your teeth into Inuyasha. But as you snapped your fangs, another weight pulled you back. Sesshomaru was back in his dog demon form and was preventing you from letting your rage take control. Even as you struggled to free yourself and felt all of your frustrations mounting, you couldn't escape the larger and more experienced dog demon.
Despite how he didn't seem to believe you at first, Inuyasha took a quick sniff and as the scent registered to his brain the blade fell from his hand. His response told the others that your words were true as they all now looked at your angrily struggling form, trying desperately to snap them with your fangs but unable to move beyond the limited range Sesshomaru gave you. Even as you struggled and cried out, you began to exhaust yourself.
"She's a demon..? But how? That doesn't even make any sense, she died-!"
"Inuyasha," Kagome now spoke, her eyes wide with sorrow and disbelief, "her chest. She- she has the full Shikon jewel!"
"Wait, but what about those shards you have? How does she have them?"
"I still have them right here! But how can she have..?"
You continued to struggle against Sesshomaru's hold, finding yourself unable to break away from the demon dog. Eventually your form began to melt back into what it had been prior. Were you had seen paws with the same white-prismatic color fur that your hair now was, they returned to hands. The muzzle you could see clearly in your peripheral sunk back into the form of your regular nose. Even the size that you had gained began to lessen until you were easily pinned by a paw from Sesshomaru's dog form. He too returned to his other form, continuing to keep you down and preventing you from reaching the group you once called your friends.
"Wait," Songo now spoke, her boomerang falling from her hands as she refused to try and fight you, "do you think she did the same as the first priestess who created the Shikon jewel? Could it be possible she created one too the day she died? It could make sense, but it doesn't explain why she is a demon now..."
"It doesn't matter, we can take it now."
Even as your will to fight receded, your rage still burned poisonously as you growled and snarled towards the group. Before they could react, Sesshomaru snapped at them, his tone more irritated and enraged than you had ever heard it before.
"Keep your filth-covered claws off, Inuyasha. She created that jewel with her sacrifice, it is not yours to freely take. I am keeping this vixen from slaughtering those she valued as a human, do not think for a second I will not allow her to act on her justly formed rage should you try to take what is not yours."
Inuyasha almost seemed like he was going to try and argue or fight with Sesshomaru, but a quick glance at you made him pause. He had been the cause of your untimely demise and his need to chase down Naraku was why he hadn't even noticed what happened. When Kagome told him later about the fact that you had been caught in the wind-scar, he truly felt he was to blame for your death.
Inuyasha had killed you. The others had left your body behind. Kagome had decided to leave you where your body lay in order to help the others. They had abandoned you and you were rightfully furious with them.
"Try to calm yourself, my mate. These humans and the half-breed are not worth being so upset over."
"They killed me and left me behind. I have the right to be as upset as I want to be!"
Kagome- upon hearing your words- burst into tears and hid her face, shame weighing upon her heavily. The others struggled to look at you, even as you fought against Sesshomaru's hold and continued to rant angrily at them. They all were to blame and everyone knew it.
A quiet part of you recognized that leaving you behind was the best move, as Sesshomaru was the only one you knew of who could reunite a departed soul and their body. That quiet piece also understood that you had entered the wind-scar voluntarily in order to save Rin from the same fate. Despite how that logic existed in your mind, you knew you still had a right to be angry.
Still, it was obvious Sesshomaru was not going to allow you to kill the ones that killed you. That fact alone cooled your boiling rage to a simmer and as you stopped fighting, his hold on you lessened. Eventually he was the one helping you up to your feet, keeping himself between you and the group you once called friend.
Your hand rest where your jewel sat, feeling it thrum in response to your light touch against the smooth surface. Even though your rage had calmed, you still held the burning hate inside of you. Perhaps it had been that hate and resentment paired with the roaming Kitsune soul that turned you to the demon you were now.
"If I ever see any of you again, I will not hesitate. Sesshomaru won't always be there to hold me back from my vengeance, so sleep with one eye open."
A-un no Kokyū, or How to Name Your Dragon
In Inuyasha, the name of Sesshomaru's two-headed dragon is A-Un. The name A-Un comes from Buddhism, being a phonetic Japanese transcription of the Sanskrit words "a" and "hūṃ." This term, "a-hum" means “the beginning and end of all things” or “the beginning and end of the universe." It can also be used to represent a pair of objects.
Tumblr media
This makes it a fitting name for a two-headed beast, although in Japan, the term "A-un" is associated with statues at shrines, including Komainu (guardian dogs), Nio statues and Shisa statues. This is because one statue will have a closed mouth and the other will have an open mouth, forming the "A" (open) shape and the "Un" (closed) shape. The beginning and the end.
It's also super fitting that Sesshomaru would have a dragon whose name is so closely associated with "guard dogs," considering that he very much IS one.
Tumblr media
According to hh-japaneeds, "When two people breathe in and out and act as if they are breathing perfectly together, it is called “A-Un breathing." (阿吽の呼吸, or "a-un no kokyū.") There is also another term, "a-un relationship” (阿吽の仲, or "a-un no naka.")
These terms refer to a relationship between two people who exist in a state of perfect harmony and balance with each other and can communicate nonverbally by implicitly understanding the other person's mind.
Tumblr media
I believe that the concept of "a-un no kokyū" perfectly encapsulates Sesshomaru and Rin's relationship. While Sesshomaru is mostly a silent character, Rin is able to understand and interpret his actions because of the close bond and understanding between them. They are two people so in sync with each other that they can easily communicate without words.
I think if Sesshomaru and Rin were temple guardians, Rin would obviously be the open-mouthed Agyo and Sesshomaru would be the closed mothed Ungyo.
Tumblr media
And it's also no coincidence that their children, like their dragon, are twins, whose powers are at their most potent when they're able to work together in harmony.
Hi! Idk if you still do your X alpha reader hc but..
Can you do one for the Boys of Inuyasha again?? This time maybe How they ( the omegas/the boys ) secretlt like to be Carried by their Alpha?? Would be totes happy if you did this! ^^
How They Like To Be Carried  Inuyasha Omegas
Tumblr media
Notes: I'm so sorry it took me this long to answer, the past few months have been wild with university and personal issues. But I'm gonna try and be more consistent, at least while I'm on summer break.
Warnings: Possible spoilers (principally on Naraku's), grammar mistakes, implied sex, and suggestive content
— Inuyasha:
»» As we all know this guy is a major tsundere, so he will deny and complain about you carrying him, even if deep down he loves it. You need to learn how to read his signs, similar to a dog's body language.
»» Now I'm a fan of making him flustered, so I would recommend doing it in front of his friends for a good laugh. But you need to keep in mind that he will not like you carrying him in front of others (who aren't his friends), principally if they're the enemy, even worse if it's Sesshomaru.
»» The guy has to keep his tough persona up and look intimidating, he cannot do it if he is red while you carry him. If you keep in mind those details, then you should be fine.
»» Inuyasha likes to be carried in any way, be on your back, shoulder and princess carried just to name a few, For him it doesn't matter how, as long as it's you doing it.
— Sesshomaru:
»» There is only one way Sesshomaru likes to be carried and it's princess style, which can be surprising considering his personality and cold demeanor.
»» But for his alpha, Sesshomaru does and enjoys things he didn't think it would be possible for him to even consider. We have to remember that this guy is obsessed with his alpha, so he can tolerate a lot of things.
»» For you to even be able to carry him there can be only three people seeing, you, him, and maybe Rin, since she is your pup now. If even Jakin is present to see it, the moment you think of carrying him, he's gone.
»» The moment you're going to carry him the most is during aftercare, he loves to be pampered, principally after sex, so expect to be carrying him a lot after the act.
— Tōga:
»» Tōga LOVES being carried, he doesn't care who sees it, or if people will start gossiping, or if he will embarrass his pups for being seen with you two.
»» He is also shameless, so he will ask you to carry him whenever he feels like it, and he will be smiling ear to ear and purring loudly, this man doesn't give a fuck.
»» He also loves carrying you, his alpha that he is really, REALLY obsessed with. If you don't like being carried he will only do it in the privacy of your home with only your pups to see.
»» Another frequent sight is Tōga carrying your pups around, doesn't matter their age, if they let him he will be seen just picking them up and walking around. But if they don't like it, it will be the same as when he does it to you.
»» Just like Sesshomaru he prefers the princess carry style, but he is not picky and will accept being carried in any way, shape, or form.
— Kōga:
»» Absolutly HATES being carried with a passion, but loves carrying you. Don't even try to argue is not gonna work.
»» Every time you try to carry him, he does the uno reverse card and carries you instead. But you can feel the almost unnoticeable purrs he gives when carrying you.
»» Honestly, if you don't like being carried either just stop trying to carry him and you should be fine, he won't normally go out of his way to carry you around.
»» The only moment you will be carried no questions asked and without you initiating it, it's if you need to escape for whatever reason since he is faster than most if not all with the jewel shards.
— Bankotsu:
»» This guy is the most neutral of all of them, he truly doesn't mind being carried, but it's also not something he likes, it's just indifferent.
»» Now, he does like teasing you when you go to carry him, saying something along the lines of "You really can't control yourself, huh?", he will make comments like this until you start blushing, this is the only part he actually likes about it.
»» But I feel like he is provocative to his alpha doesn't matter the occasion, it's just that you make it so easy when you like carrying him so much.
»» If he had to pick a style on being carried it would be a piggyback ride, he gets easy access to your ear, he can easily free himself if the need arrives and he can even provoke you if he feels like it.
— Naraku:
»» ABSOLUTELY NOT, hates even the idea of it and hates even more thinking of carrying you, he just despises the carrying altogether.
»» How he goes about it depends on if it's just Onigumo that loves you or if Naraku as a whole loves you. If it's just Onigumo you won't even have many opportunities to even think about it after the first offer, he will cut you off and maybe even avoid you.
»» If the entirety of Naraku loves you, then it's another story. He still hates the thought of it, but the way he acts about it it's different.
»» Either he lets you carry one of his incarnations/clones, or he will try to distract you with other things, considering the way he is if he didn't accept on the first ask, I recommend not trying again if you want to live.
Stranded With A Demon Lord and the Strongest Sorcerer (8)
Read Chapter 7
The fight, if it could be called that is over in as little as a couple of paw slaps and snaps of Sesshomaru's fangs. Kagome stifles a yawn and tilts her head back, resting against Satoru. He's so hard. Being pressed against him like this is actually some form of torture. Kagome closes her eyes and tries to center herself, but the imagery of Satoru between her thighs and Sesshomaru whispering in her ears threatens to consume her.
She opens her eyes and frowns, keeping the sigh from passing from her lips. Kami she wants to feel them again, but her body is sore, not quite used to the boldness of Sesshomaru.
"What are you thinking about?" Satoru's voice is low. Dark. He must be thinking the same as her.
"Sesshomaru's knot," she replies plainly. No point in denying it. "You."
His arms tighten around her waist. His breathing harsher than it was just moments ago. "Kagome," Satoru groans. "There's a dead dinosaur on the ground and your mind is in the gutter?"
"We could do it slowly." What does the dinosaur have to do with any of this? It's not as though she is trying to feel him up while they are being chased.
"I—"
Sesshomaru flares his energy. The wind blows harder, reaching them with ease. Kagome huffs and pushes the hair out of her face.
"Alright, Sesshomaru wants us down there." There is a restlessness to Sesshomaru. He must want to get this errand over with.
"Maybe this place has a hot spring nearby that we could camp at," Satoru says, lowering her to the ground. His hands slide down her body before settling on her ass. "Can you sniff one out?"
Sesshomaru narrows his eyes. "A pup could sniff out a hot spring." He flicks his hair back and then turns his attention to the dinosaur. Up close, it is even more massive. Maybe around 43ft in length. She can't make out its face from here, but along the top of its body are these ridges. She wonders how the villagers deal with something as massive as this. Its skin looks tough so a normal arrow wouldn't piece it, and she struggles to picture how Argol would go about taking down such a foe.
Maybe with his other villagers? Like a pack of lions or, well, centaurs. Circle around its legs and try to trip it somehow while some brave soul takes on the task of getting closer to its face. The eyes would be the most sensitive. Better yet, how would Satoru have gone about taking down something like this?
Kagome crosses her arms and pushes her ass back against Satoru. "Not sure how dino meat tastes, but it would be awful to let this go to waste. Can you turn back into your dog form and fly it to the village?"
Sesshomaru sighs. "Why must you insist on staying in that village with that foul, brash one?"
"I'm not trying to stay there." She rolls her eyes. "I'm saying that this is a lot of meat to just let go to waste. We should share some of it, and it's not like we have the time to properly store it or make jerky."
"May as well, since we're going that way," Satoru says, siding with Kagome. He squeezes her ass again, alternating between running his hands over her and squeezing every so often. "I could probably warp it, but..."
"Stop hoarding the priestess." Sesshomaru holds out a hand. The command is loud. Kagome smiles as she uncrosses her arms.
"Sorry, Satoru." Kagome throws a wink over her shoulder before making her way over to Sesshomaru. She takes Sesshomaru's outstretched hand and stares at his markings. Her tongue darts out, swiping across her upper lip in contemplation. "Will you find us a hot spring?" She turns her body and runs a finger down Sesshomaru's chest. His eyes flash red. Kagome swallows, her mouth suddenly dry, but her pussy is wet with desire.
"Kagome," Sesshomaru growls.
"Sorry?"
Sesshomaru's nostrils flare. His jaw clenches. Kagome glances down. A shame his pants are so baggy. Maybe she can just slide her hand—
"This Sesshomaru will kill the brash one if you do not control yourself. Satoru, come here."
"So... we're not fucking?" Satoru asks.
"No." Sesshomaru gives Kagome a look before meeting Satoru's eyes. "For now, we will visit the village and gather the information Kagome wishes to obtain, and then we will find a hot spring. This Sesshomaru knows not how long we will travel today as there are no hot springs close, but this Sesshomaru will find one for you." A cloud forms beneath their feet, stretching until it is under the dinosaur as well.
Satoru looks down and pokes at the cloud with his foot. "Show off," he grumbles.
"This Sesshomaru can drop you, should you wish it."
"Not like I'd fall."
"So mouthy for one that is so weak to his flesh."
"Tch. You're one to talk. Think I didn't see how your eyes flashed red just moments ago?" Satoru leans against the dinosaur with a wry grin on his face.
Is this how these two flirt? Normally she would step in to diffuse the situation, but Kagome opts for observing instead. Their body words are like daggers, but their body language suggests a playfulness. They were roughhousing the first night to work out their differences, or whatever Satoru called it.
"You will learn your place." Sesshomaru tilts his head back with a haughtiness that only a demon lord can pull off. On any other, they would look silly, but on Sesshomaru? That self-assuredness is turning her on. Kagome sucks in a breath. It was easier before, but now? Now she's hyper aware of him.
"Priestess, do you take me for a liar?"
"Huh?" Kagome's brows pull taunt. "I didn't say anything?"
"This Sesshomaru will kill the brash one if he dares to even sniff in your direction. If you wish for him to live, you will halt any fantasies you are conjuring."
Kagome rolls her eyes. "You wouldn't kill Argol because then I'd be sad and wouldn't talk to you."
"We're killing Argol?"
"No!" Kagome smacks her forehead. "You are not as slick as you think you are." Seriously, what is with these two and trying to take out Argol? What did he even do to them? Nothing. Argol has done nothing to them, and they both want his head for no reason. "You can't just go around killing people."
"I'm not." Satoru sticks his bottom lip out. "Argol isn't people."
"The cursed one is correct."
"Oh, don't even," Kagome says aghast. "I will do the talking since you two are so dang bloodthirsty."
"And yet you wish to spare the one that calls themself bloodthirsty?" Sesshomaru intones.
Kagome pinches the bridge of her nose. "Isn't he beneath you? Why so much animosity?" She chances a glance at Satoru in the hopes he will see reason, but his lips are pressed into a firm line and with a sinking heart, the hope Kagome was holding on to falls to the depths.
"He exists. I don't like his face."
"What's wrong with his face?" Kagome asks, exasperated by this point. Satoru is grasping at the straws here for any kind of reason to not like Argol.
"He's ugly to look at."
Kami be with her. Kagome rubs at her eyes and sighs. "Argol isn't ugly. He's attractive."
"His face offends this Sesshomaru, as well as the stink that clings to him like that of an unruly boar in a whorehouse who does nothing but defecate on themselves and those around them."
Kagome drops her hand from her face. She has no words. It's clear, painfully so, these two abhor poor Argol, who has done nothing to them. She looks down at the trees below, since looking at Sesshomaru or Satoru is too dangerous. They can't be jealous of Argol? It's not like she wants the centaur.
Sesshomaru lands right outside of the village. The cloud fades away and Kagome's feet are on the ground once more.
"CHOSEN ONE!"
Kagome plasters a smile on her face and pushes past Satoru and Sesshomaru to the front. "Kagome, remember? I'm not the chosen one."
Argol bows his head. "Sorry, Chose—Kagome. I see you have fought the mighty beast." He motions to the dinosaur with his spear. "Of course, one such as you could take down such a ferocious creature."
"It was Sesshomaru, actually."
Argol stares. "You did not need to bring us such a gift, for you are welcome here anytime."
"This isn't even your fucking village," Satoru says. "This is the goblin's village."
Argol blinks. "This... human dares to speak to me like this?" He snorts. "Kagome, with your command, I will take care of these dead weights. Simply say the word and it will be done."
"Stop!" Kagome holds out her hands, pinning Satoru and Sesshomaru with a look. "No one is fighting. Argol, you need to apologize. I am human, like Satoru."
Argol's upper lip curls back. "Apologies human. Forgive me for not understanding that you are a simply a charity case for the great Kagome. I see you are blind and, thus, inferior. It is amazing that one such as you have survived all this time, but nonetheless, you have my condolences for your weakness. Fear not, Kagome. I, Argol, will take it upon myself to see that these dead weights are more than capable warriors. And if all else fails, the blind one can throw himself into the path of destruction should you need someone to sacrifice."
Kagome's mouth pops open. Why would he say that? That's not an apology.
A flash of green flickers past and Argol's screams draw the attention of the others.
"Sesshomaru," Kagome whispers harshly.
"He dared to speak ill of one that belongs to this Sesshomaru."
"Belong?"
"Surely you are not daft, cursed one. We have been over this. You belong to this Sesshomaru."
"Now wait, when you said—"
"What impression gave you that this was up for debate?"
Kagome throws one more look at Argol, who lies on the ground. He's breathing, at least. Sesshomaru could have loped off Argol's head if he wanted to and... well, Argol would have deserved it. She crosses her arms. "So, you have claimed Satoru then?"
Sesshomaru raises a brow.
"Very well," Kagome says, nodding her head. "Then, in that case, Satoru, you have permission to fall in love with me." She winks at him.
"Oho?" Satoru chuckles. "Thank you for giving me permission to do so." He sweeps his leg behind him as he bows. "Kagome-sama."
Kagome-sama? She doesn't care for titles all that much, but something about the way it rolls off Satoru's tongue gives her some thought.
"Argol, if you are alive, then get up. We came to share some of this meat with everyone since we couldn't possibly eat all of it."
Ebeelx walks forward and holds out a hand for Argol to take. "We thank you for thinking of us. You bless us when we have done nothing for you."
"Well, there is something we want," Kagome says. "Nothing crazy. Just some information about this place."
"This place?" Ebeelx asks. "This region, my lady? I'm fraid I do not know of the riddles you speak."
"You sure you want to do this?" Satoru asks, his voice low. Kagome shivers. He's so close, she can feel the heat of him.
"It'll be fine," she tells him before directing her attention back to the villagers. "We aren't from him, Ebeelx. We don't know anything about this world, so any information that you could share would be of help."
Ebeelx nods slowly as though to digest the information laid bare. "It will take some time to gather all that I know and put it into some form of writing for you. Please rest here—"
"You will complete it within the hour," Sesshomaru says. "This Sesshomaru is not staying in this village another day."
Another day? They haven't even spent a night here. Kagome smiles brighter. A little more forced. "We want to travel as quickly as we can before night falls."
"Oh..." Ebeelx looks down and then back to Kagome. "Very well. Everyone, you have heard the Chosen One, we must make haste!"
Argol rubs at the scar across his face and winces. When it heals completely, it'll be a gnarly scar for sure. Blood still drips from where Sesshomaru's whip hit him. "I and the other centaurs will work on cutting the meat." He glares at Sesshomaru and then turns his head as if to dismiss Sesshomaru. "My lady, should you need of me, I will never hesitate to run to your side."
"I... thank you Argol. For now, I simply wish for the dinosaur to be processed." Dinosaur and processed, two words she never thought she would ever say together, but here she is. "Ebeelx, we will be back in about an hour or so."
"Oh? You do not wish to wait inside my hut?"
"Nope, we'll be back. Need to burn off some steam. You know how it is." Kagome turns and grabs Sesshomaru's hand and then Satoru's. "Don't come looking for us. We'll be right back."
***
A/N: I swear my kid has been sick like every day this month. We have been to the doctor once a week and we will be going back to the doctor on Monday. Apologies in advance if an update is late, it's been a month lol.
"Need a Satoru pov smut" - We'll get one from all of their POVs.
"Are they implying Satoru would happily follow them to their world?" - I don't think Sesshomaru is giving Satoru an option lolol
Have a wonderful week and holiday if you celebrate! Get plenty of rest and make sure to stay hydrated. Sidenote, I'm having the hardest time with getting this trio to do anything. They clearly do not want to go back to their worlds lol.
I'm sorry I genuinely hate Loona's feral/full demon form because like... This doesn't read as a demon at all, this looks like my 2020 fursona.
This is literally just Loona dropped onto all fours, it doesn't make her look more powerful at all. She looks like a generic DeviantArt alpha and omega oc.
I honestly think a better version of this trope of Character's true form would be Sesshomaru
Tumblr media Tumblr media
Even if this design was scaled down to Loona's height in her true demon form he'd look a lot more intimidating, and there's a reason for that!
Sesshomaru loses any semblance of his sapient qualities and becomes a wild dog because he's pissed the fuck off.
Honestly if Loona's more 'human' face was changed to be wolf-like, I'd be a lot less upset about this to be honest.
Tell me which one of these you're more scared of fighting.
Note
I want sesshomaru to call me disgusting slurs as he pins me and uses me and refuses to come inside bc I'm a disgusting human who shouldn't be allowed to breed. I need him to leave scars and bruises and psychological damage. And his dog form is not a deal breaker for me
Inuyasha, though? I want to pin him and overstimulate him until he cries and he would let me because he respects women
Also 100% they both have knots
Please remember this is a confessional series; you may interact however you like, but you must always maintain respectfulness and civility with the confessor.
Jakotsu’s Type, judging by what he’s said is attractive:
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Miroku has black hair, blue eyes
Jakotsu singles out Inuyasha’s dog ears as what he likes the most
Inuyasha, Miroku and Koga all have thicker eyebrows
Yet, human Inuyasha (long black hair, brown eyes, thicker eyebrows) is even more attractive to Jakotsu, as Inuyasha’s human form is what makes Jakotsu want to hold him.
Pulls Inuyasha up by his hair at one point— possibly prefers men with long hair
But appearance is far from all Jakotsu is attracted to— one of the most important things he’s attracted to is expressive, passionate men.
He specifically desires to see fear and hear screams from his opponents
He loves it when his opponents are angry at him, commenting several times that Inuyasha is cute when he’s angry or that he loves it when Inuyasha is angry.
He describes Sesshomaru as having “cold, expressionless eyes” and isn’t particularly that into him
(He also describes Sesshomaru as “quite manly” and “attractive [up close]” and “deadly”)
He also likes:
Fashion— his main comments on Koga was about what Koga was wearing, rather than his physical appearance. Koga does tick some boxes for Jakotsu, but ultimately lacks one of the qualities that Jakotsu prefers the most: Cuteness.
Koga does not really have any of those “cute!” moments like Inuyasha and Miroku do. Koga is also a coward who runs away and saves his passion for things Kagome-related.
How Jakotsu describes his type to Renkotsu:
Manga: Prefers more “naive” ones
Anime, Eng sub: Prefers cuter ones
So in conclusion, who is someone with all of those important qualities?
Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media Tumblr media
Long, black hair
Blue eyes
Thick eyebrows
Expressive and passionate; not afraid of his own emotions
Has a “naive” energy
Cute
Compared to Inuyasha in the radio drama— the two have some similarities
Extremely comfortable with murder— perfect quality for a boyfriend (for Jakotsu) to have!
Yashahime: Awful Sequel
Tumblr media
When the first of the information came out that Inuyasha was getting a sequel, everybody was excited but it was a really awful show that was overhyped. It became a failing sequel to the Inuyasha franchise just like Boruto became to the Naruto franchise. It's a show about a hanyo version of kagome and/or rin who inherited the obsessive clingly nature, a hanyo female version of sesshomaru who barely has a personality that doesn't involve slaying and playing the violin, and a weak comic relief shihanyo who inherited her parents worst traits, who are majority of the time always winning fights.
Rushed
Just like with Inuyasha the Final Act, Yashahime was extremely rushed and boring. The Final Act was quickly wrapped up in 1 season as the manga was longer.
2. Constant Copying
In one of kohakuxrin's post there is massive recycling from the previous inuyasha content and especially the final act manga material that wasn't made in the rushed anime. As they
Ex.
1) Mistress Centipede with Mistress Three-Eyes
Tumblr media
They're trying to remake the first villain from the past.
2) Hitokon
3) Bone Demon and a Father
4) Cat Demon
5) Meioju
6) Ginka and Kinka
7) Mizuchi and Nuwamatari
8) Nikosen
10) Yuki and her brother
16) Not alone anymore
17) A moth demon destroyed by a hanyo in a mindless state
Tumblr media
18) Kao and the bug in the chest
Tumblr media
19) Shibugarasus, Toads, Kumogashiras
Tumblr media
20) The giant bug with someone within
Tumblr media
21) The Rainbow Crystals
Tumblr media
- The Silver Crystal was split into the seven Rainbow Crystals so as to seal away Seven Great Yōma. And as Sailor Moon shed a tear for her lover Tuxedo Mask who was mortally wounded, it caused the seven Rainbow Crystals to react and merge into one, forming the Silver Crystal itself. - As Zero shed a tear onto the Sacred Jewel, upon learning the death of Toga whom she was fond of, the seven rainbow pearls came out of it.
22) Chibiusa and the Door of Time
Tumblr media
- Chibiusa has a key that leads to the door of time which leads to the future, and she was being hunted by bad guys. - Akuru has a pinwheel that activates the windmill of time opening a path to the future, and he was being hunted by Kirinmaru.
No question in those two because Katsuyuki Sumisawa was involved in the first anime version of Sailor Moon and in the same episodes in which the rainbow crystals assembled and Chibiusa took the Sailor Warriors to the doors of time (episodes 34 and 82).
23) Walking Around Naked
Tumblr media
24) Pulling Out A Sword
Tumblr media Tumblr media
25) Wondering About Name and Bullying
Tumblr media Tumblr media
26) Recycled Moves
Tumblr media
In episode 20, 2 lizard yokai attempting to break into the hanyo village look very similar to the two lizard yokai in the original series.
moroha trying to touch rion's ears like kagome with inuyasha's ears.
towa getting mad at homaru and zero for separating her and setsuna like Inuyasha got mad at naraku for separated him and Kikyo.
Tumblr media
3. Contrived Powerups
Majority of the time, you would notice that towa, Setsuna, and moroha get these power ups to easily defeat an opponent by emotions or hearing about something.
4. Miroku and Sango's Family
Other than Hisui, they are barely seen.
Miroku spent the majority of the series on a 1000 day training and in the last episodes of the season he was suddenly powerful and taking on the grim butterfly. In episode 22, miroku was easily defeated by zero and had kin'u take his place.
Sango, who was known to be a strong female fighter in the original, was reduced to simply miroku's wife and hisui's, kin'u's, and gyokuto's mother. In the last episode of the final act, sango retired from being a demon slayer but could've come out of retirement to lead the new demon alongside kohaku but instead she's reduced to making mask and supplies. In the last episodes of season 2, sango comes out of retirement to fight with a rushed weapon called the black hiraikotsu.
Hisui could've continued to learn under miroku while being a demon slayer despite kin'u being a monk first. Sango, who was the original owner of the hiraikotsu, should have been the one to inspire hisui to be a demon slayer instead of kohaku. The hiraikotsu doesn't have the abilities it achieved in the final act.
The creators of yashahime decided in season 2 to give hisui feelings for setsuna, making it offiical in episode 48, to make it opposite of riku and towa since hisui is a full blooded human riku is a incarnation of a full blooded yokai.
Kin'u and Gyokuto, who appeared the least in the show, only appear to make a character shine. sango, who is a skilled fighter, didn't even train kin'u and gyokuto in combat as the only thing they do is throw sutras and powders. The creators didn't put any thought into their character designs as kin'u and gyokuto should've had different hairstyles and lengths from each other as the only difference in kin'u's hair was the small ponytail and gyokuto's hair didn't change at all. While kin'u's attire did change, the difference between gyokuto's attire from childhood was her apron and woven sandals.
They could've appeared more in the series and developed their personalities and abilities.
And when shippo appeared again especially in episode 48, kin'u and gyokuto reverted back to their personalities when they were little children.
5. Kohaku and the Demon Slayers
kohaku's face looks like iruka from the naruto franchise. Despite opposite character designs and weapons, rokuta and nansuke barely have personalities and don't even have backstories
How could the demon slayers, especially kohaku and hisui, not know setsuna was a hanyo after seeing her abilities and sensing her aura.
Kohaku and the Demon Slayers really don't think things through sometimes and aren't very bright.
Ex. Nikosen was poisoning a mountain and instead of thinking of other ways to defeat him, the only way they thought to defeat him in their minds was to burn the mountain.
6. Secrets
It seems to me nobody wants to talk about the past.
Despite living in the modern era for 10 years, the higurashi family never mentioned or seen pictures of kagome to towa until she was about to leave for the feudal era.
kaede never told kohaku, hisui, and the other demon slayers that setsuna was a hanyo or was sesshomaru's daughter. After 10 years of not seeing setsuna, kaede never once told her about sesshomaru, rin, or towa and even when she returned she still didn't explain. It only took 21 episodes for kaede to tell towa about rin and even then it was quick information about how they lived together for many years and she disappeared shortly after she and setsuna were born.
kaede never even told moroha about inuyasha and kagome.
I wonder why nobody especially miroku and sango told kohaku about towa and setsuna being sesshomaru and rin's daughters and not even a letter.
Even when kohaku found out about towa and setsuna being sesshomaru's daughters, he only mentioned something to them in episodes 5 and 31.
When miroku first met towa, he was informed that she was setsuna's older sister and instead of telling her about their parents he just stood there silently.
When the higurashi family realized that moroha is kagome's daughter, they never told her information about her and inuyasha and tried to fix this in season 2 especially in episode 28.
7. Underage Pairings
The creators of yashahime really don't care about the sick relationships.
sesshomaru and rin, knew her ever since she was 7-8 years old.
riku and towa, he knew her before she was born
homaru and tamano, kidnapped and tried to force her to love him.
moroha flirting with bokuseno.
I don't have an opinion on hisui/setsuna or hisui/aiya.
8. Rushed and Failed Backstories
They really didn't think much into the childhoods.
In episode 15, towa and setsuna were taken away and placed in a forest for 4 years and moroha was sent away to the koga and ayame by hachiemon.
In towa's childhood after being separated from setsuna, there's not much known as we see her meet sota, have a weight set and trophies to explain her life, a flashback of a pinky promise, and they gave of these rushed memories in episode 36 like they gave kagome rushed memories in the final act.
With setsuna, her being taken away from the burned forest, being accepted into the hidden hanyo village, training under 2 orders, defeated 2 lizard yokai, flash forward 6 years later, a recycled flashback from episode 3, returning to the hanyo village, a quick copy and pasted of episodes 51 and 52 except the soldiers are yokai, and leaving the hanyo village.
With moroha, a quick flashback of her last training day with yawaragi, battling a recycled character kodoku, being sold to jyubei, battling the birds of paradise, and giving quick images of her as a baby in episode 39.
9. Contrived Emotional Moments
The scenes that are supposed to be emotional are bland, rushed, and cringe-worthy.
Ex.
sota and towa's relationship wasn't sad for me as in season 1 and 2 they had very little interactions and were forced.
Ex. in episode 4, sota and towa talking and saying goodbye and in season 2 sota and towa meeting again and goodbye again after he tells he will always see her as his own blood daughter as they transform appearance when they first met.
A female wolf yokai named yawaragi was mentioned in episode 14, appeared as a small cameo at the end of episode 15, and official debut. She has a few flashbacks, a quick fight, then they tried to give us this emotional dying scene of her with moroha but i'm not attached to the character and everything goes back like nothing ever happened except for a new ability.
towa and setsuna tearfully hugging each other and apologizing when setsuna regains her memories.
riku tearfully killing zero.
moroha reuniting with Inuyasha and kagome while towa and setsuna, which is weird for her, tearfully watched.
moroha keeping the black pearl with the beni.
towa and mei's moments plus the final goodbye.
riku confessions of love to towa especially before everyone battles the grim butterfly and him dying.
Inuyasha, kagome, and moroha having a family moment on the bone-eater's well.
rin hugging towa and setsuna while sesshomaru and jaken having a conversation while 2 other families watched them.
towa and Setsuna hugging moroha in their new attires.
towa confronting a disguised riku in jyubei's shop.
moroha hugging Inuyasha and kagome before leaving their home.
Basically episode 48 was one of the worst episodes in the entire two seasons.
10. Terrible Characters
Majority of the yashahime series characters were boring and confusing.
Ex.
In season 1, she looked more like she was the big bad of the series than Kirinmaru, who didn't even act like the villain.
Zero possessed much more of a threat to our main characters, as she is responsible for the forest fire that separated Towa and Setsuna and indirectly separated Moroha from Inuyasha and kagome. She's done various other things, blackmailing Sesshomaru by cursing Rin. She feels very much that she had the same level of connection that she had that the same connection Naraku did with Inuyasha.
zero's back story as well seemed uninteresting and confusing, having feelings towards Toga, and when he dies her love for him drives her to kill his descendants. She could have become more interesting as the series progressed. If the rainbow pearls sealed away her emotions, then why is zero taking revenge on toga's descendants and got angry at sesshomaru's mother.
But that was not the case, as when season 2 aired, is when Zero started to run down downhill by gathering the rainbow pearls, for revenge, kidnapping towa, and basically holding rin's life hostage, and it all ends in episodes 36 and 37.
To start with, Setsuna learns from Rin that she must save Zero to stop the curse from killing her. Really wished we knew that before. Thanks, Rin, which leads into the next episode.
At this point, Zero has been emotionally torturing Towa for the entire night by reminding her of her sadness and suffering, and is pretty much trying to get Towa angry enough so that she can kill her, and in doing so kill Rin. She's almost successful when Setsuna shows up, shows Towa the dream butterfly, and suddenly Towa loses all the anger she has towards zero in a matter of seconds.
towa then thanks zero for what she's done and it is really annoying. zero prepares to kill herself and Setsuna cuts the thread of fate tying Zero to Toga and she removes the curse from Rin and commits suicide by Riku.
All of these in a matter of minutes, they make Zero, this threatening and uninteresting villain and rendered her more pathetic. They had to give her a redemption arc when she's been the most villainous character in this sequel. Kirinmaru felt more like an obstacle the same way Koga was in Inuyasha. But this, this was so dumb, and when I was watching episode 36 and heard what Rin said, I knew what this was leading into but it was so much worse when Towa thanked her for it. She really didn't need to thank the person who separated her from her twin sister and tried multiple times to kill her, sister, and rin because it's just wrong.
The creators of yashahime couldn't even give zero an actual conclusion that fitted with her character, and she's forgiven so easily. You didn't see Inuyasha thanking Naraku for setting him and Kikyo against each other and killing Kikyo, Sango thanking naraku for killing her village and controlling her kohaku, and miroku thanking naraku for cursing his bloodline. Could you imagine how messed up that would have been?
11. Timeline Error and Wrong Ages
The story takes place after 18 years after the final act but they keep getting the timeline wrong.
In episode 3, kaede said the bone-eater's well stopped working after 15 years.
In episode 39, kagome said she hasn't seen her family in 14 years.
Despite the yashahime creators making jaken and the tree of ages saying that rin is supposedly 18, she is really 15.
The true creator, Rumiko Takahashi, explained in databooks that rin is 7-8 years old in the beginning, sota is 8-9 years old, and kohaku is 11 years old.
In the 3 year time skip at the end of the final act rin is 11, sota is 11-12, and kohaku is 14.
4 years later when towa, setsuna, moroha were born, rin would be 15, sota would be 15-16, and kohaku is 18.
When they were 4 years old, Rin was 19, sota was 19-20, and kohaku was 22.
10 years later in the present as they are 14 years old, rin is 29 not 32, sota is 29-30, and kohaku is 32.
The reason the creators tried to age sota and rin up is because they forgot.
12. Copied Information
If you watched yashahime, you would immediately notice the constant copy and pasting from the original series and the final act. They're trying to do this to bring back memorable feelings to the new series.
Ex.
Even though the rainbow pearls were created from the sacred jewel and have its essence, as they just copied lesser powerful versions of it.
towa, setsuna, and moroha fighting mistress three eyes to remember the fight between inuyasha and kagome with mistress centipede.
setsuna not wanting to be a hanyo is a reference of sesshomaru disliking hanyo.
towa being controlled by the hitokon like the little boy, but how did it appear in the modern era without being seen.
setsuna remembering mei thanking her is to remember rin smiling at sesshomaru.
moroha appearing in the room naked without shame just like inuyasha.
grandpa higurashi giving moroha, who had a weird look on her face, a kappa foot just like he gave kagome, who also had a weird on her face, a kappa foot as well.
13. Sesshomaru
Personally, I've never really liked sesshomaru as just like miroku, jaken, sango, especially shippo and kagome. As in yashahime, sesshomaru became bland and terrible.
Out of all of the characters whose personalities and motives changed from the original series, The one who got it the worse was Sesshomaru. Despite him not being on screen for very long in the first season and the currently ongoing second season, he's barely said anything. To be fair, Sesshomaru wasn't having full-blown conversations with everyone, but he at least has some conversations with other characters. Here he barely says anything.
He's also not very emotional, which was the same in the original series, but with what has happened in the second season of Yashahime, you'd think the writers would give him some kind of emotional moments not the sick ones of sesshomaru holding rin when the curse was placed on her in episode 27 and it being taken off her in episode 37.
In season 1, sesshomaru has barely appeared and mostly made short cameos and flashbacks.
Ex. In episode 18, sesshomaru only appeared for a short time to quickly fight kirinmaru, orders jaken to not say anything then they leave.
The plot for him is really bad and doesn't make any sense, sesshomaru takes towa and setsuna shortly after they're born, stay away from them and refuses to help them when they were 4 years because homura and zero, who he can easily defeat, who kill them herself and kill rin, who said she would rather die than let them be sacrificed for her sake, but changed his mind when they were 14 years old. And sesshomaru idiotically listened to jaken sealing into the tree of ages and sealing inuyasha and kagome away into the black pearl because they thought they would go after zero and killer which would also kill rin, even though they would find another way to save her.
Even though, sesshomaru secretly gave setsuna items and tasks over the 6 years she's lived in the hidden hanyo village, he's a terrible father as he doesn't tell them anything, basically an absent father, left towa and setsuna to face kirinmaru and setsuna was killed, completely left the task of setsuna saving rin to her and didn't do anything as kohaku and sota were more fathers to them instead of himself.
The creator of yashahime could've made janis or kaname kururugi canon in the series and giving them a story of how they came to permanently live the feudal era, or a new female character with a background but instead they disgustingly chose rin, a girl he knew since she was 7-8 and mostly treated like a daughter.
In Yashahime, sesshomaru is a terrible husband as he doesn't see rin as an equal and majority of the time still has the father-daughter dynamic and treats her like a pet.
Ex. shortly after towa and setsuna, sesshomaru didn't say a word to rin and took the twins without a single explanation to anyone other than a rite of courage and cowardice, commanded her to follow him and stay like a dog especially in episodes 46 and 47 when he commanded her watch him battle kirinmaru, and even in episode 48 when he still ordered him to follow him. The only time sesshomaru is ordered around is in episode 35 by rin.
In season 2, sesshomaru majority of the time just stands and watches things happen for plot, even when he's in the grim butterfly, in a coma, and letting others such as towa, setsuna, and moroha to do the work.
For an example, In Inuyasha, the final act, when they are in the underworld and Kohaku tells him that Rin isn't breathing. Sesshomaru shows genuine fear and concern, which I believe is the only time he acts this way. Then when he learns that Tenseiga can't revive her, he blames himself for it and says that nothing was worth losing her. It's one of the most powerful moments for Sesshomaru and shows just how far he's come. Whether you see Sesshomaru care towards Rin as Fatherly or not, this scene shows just how much he cares for her.
Let's compare that to in Yashahime.
After Sesshomaru kills the dream butterfly, it causes the Silver scale curse to spread more quickly, which will eventually kill Rin. She's pretty much dying in front of him, and he has no way to stop it himself. So how does he act?
He says nothing, even when she talks to him and he keeps the same face.
sesshomaru separated moroha from inuyasha and kagome for 14 years and the one who gets scolded for badmouthing him was inuyasha, who was rightfully so, and he was instantly forgiven, kagome saying 'i'm sure he had his reasons', sat inuyasha, and scolded him for blaming towa and setsuna, even though he wasn't. setsuna also shouldm't have to apologize on sesshomaru's behalf.
He later kills the dream butterfly to motivate Setsuna to be able to use her Yukari no Tachikiri, which nearly causes Rin to die because of him and finally, he doesn't go and save Towa when she is being tortured all night by Zero and Nanahoshi by his minature galaxy.
It feels like they were trying to frame it as Sesshomaru could be genuinely working with Kirinmaru, but in doing so, they make him look like he's the worst father of the year. And with how long this mystery dragged out, it didn't make Sesshomaru look any better.
It definitely it's completely different writing when it comes to Sesshomaru in both series, with Inuyasha, Rumiko wrote him a clear goal and a conclusion. In Yashahime, they're trying to one-up the audience with their mystery and are unintentionally wreaking his entire character.
14. Not Naming Characters
Despite new characters such as moe higurashi, mei higurashi, and aiya receiving names there are lot of characters that still don't have names such as sesshomaru's mother, weasel man, gokoku village headman, northern demon slayers leader, the granny, the lady, the muscle, the ninja, and so many others.
Despite knowing that his name is toga, they still refer to him as the great dog demon.
15. Nerfed
Just like Boruto and Dragon Ball Super, the power scaling doesn't make any sense. In Super, beerus, who is a god, is fighting goku, who turned into a super saiyan god, after a period of time transforms back into a simple super saiyan but doesn't make any sense that he can still can fight beerus, they tried to explain away this through beerus but it doesn't work. In Boruto, there have been many multiple fights where the older generations are nerfed to make the younger generation shine like when jugo hit konohamaru and he couldn't move for a few days but when jugo hit boruto he easily recovered, when karin had to become weak with her chakra chain in order for sarada to be strong, or when in the time travel arc with urashiki that sasuke was constantly weak in order for a genin naruto, boruto, and jiraiya to shine. It also happens in more sequels like in yashahime.
Ex.
kirinmaru, who is equal to toga, can receive massive injuries from towa and setsuna, hanyos, and moroha, a shihanyo.
Zero, who possessed all of her 7 rainbow pearls that contain her immense yokai power that can summon an even greater demonic power that is far too strong and dangerous to even exist and the essence of the sacred jewel, can easily be killed by a feral towa.
The grim comet/grim butterfly, that has vast amounts of demon energy that it took toga, kirinmaru, sesshomaru, and inuyasha to defeat small fragments of it, was being completely held back by miroku and kagome, not even combined can match midoriko and kikyo.
towa creating the twin azure dragon wave but not sesshomaru.
16. UnInteresting Fights
Majority of the fights are boring and rushed.
Ex.
In season 1, you would notice that more than half the fights are recycled from the final act manga and the original series.
towa battling the human boys.
totetsu battles against miroku, hisui, towa, and setsuna.
totetsu and riku battling each other.
In season 2, the fights are stale and lack originality.
towa and setsuna battling rock fiends.
riku and rion battling kirinmaru.
osamu battling riku and towa.
Ex. In the final fight against kirinmaru and sesshomaru, the fighting moves sesshomaru uses are recycled from his fight against magatsuhi.
17. Bland Characters
Most of the yashahime characters lack character and are boring.
Ex.
Despite Raita and Futa having their parents killed by different species, different abilities, and opposite appearances, they're basically the same as one said something and the other agrees and repeats what the other said, they say 'take this' and attack. Raita and Futa's appearances didn't put much thought into them and when they're older the difference they get is armor.
With Mei Higurashi, we're told about her personality from towa but she's annoying and reminds me of kagome and rin when she wants to run into dangerous situations to resolve problems, bossy, and whiny.
Moe Higurashi rarely has a personality as the naive overly cheerful person that reminds us of ms. higurashi and her appearance looks like a light brown haired kagome and the only thing we know about her is that she's a traveling violinist.
takechiyo wasn't much of a character as is a less annoying version of shippo and a boring background story with his twin brother.
18. Sudden Recovery
In the original, inuyasha sustained damages from powerful and mst of them took him a while to heal but in yashahime mostly everyone, including towa, setsuna, and moroha, heals instantly from their injures even hisui.
It feels like when characters are facing powerful enemies they instantly get up without a scratch despite having injuries. I know they're hanyos from a powerful dog demon but it's contrived.
Ex. setsuna becomes injured after being restrained by mistress three eyes but quickly recovered to defeat her.
towa was weak after being released from hitokon's control but instantly recovered when setsuna wanted to remove the hitokon from mei's face.
miroku battled gaga gozen and was instantly defeated and weakened but instantly recovered when he battled setsuna.
In episode 18, towa, setsuna, and moroha battled kirinmaru and easily lost but instantly recovered.
19. Plot
The plot was really stupid and to be dramatic.
Ex.
In season 1, ever since episode 2 when towa and setsuna separated, they constantly remind us for drama by memories and/or through other people in episodes 3, 4, 8, 10, 11, 14, 15, and 20, especially episodes 8, 10, and 14.
placing a seal on setsuna and her main weapon to keep her demon blood in check but during the series she's never fully tries to master it, only a small piece of it known as the blood blade. they made setsuna have a seal but not towa, that's not fair.
Throughout season 2, everyone was saying that towa needed to fight with a demon weapon and not something made by humans but at the last episodes she's fighting with the kikujmonji, a weapon made from humans.
moroha getting through mount musubi's barriers.
In episode 17, setsuna, who doesn't even know anything about sesshomaru and the dog demon clan, suddenly knows the dog demon clan is capable of discovering demonic energies from a distance with their unusually sharpened sense of smell but in episode 23 she questions her clan.
In episode 24, riku stabbing kirinmaru, who had his guard down, to weakened him for towa, setsuna, and moroha and towa stabbing kirinmaru.
In episode 24, setsuna dying so towa and moroha can instantly power up.
In episode 38, towa, setsuna, and moroha attacking kirinmaru and sesshomaru taking kirinmaru's attack and sending them into the black pearl.
In episode 39, kirinmaru showing up and demanding sesshomaru to come out before battling inuyasha, kagome, and moroha.
osamu kirin, who barely appeared in the series, was suddenly the villain of the last episodes of season 2.
riku and rion battling kirinmaru and later riku, who was heavily injured, easily taking rion away from kirinmaru.
In episode 47, towa dying so rion can face fear who ended up dying again anyway.
It doesn't make any sense, Rin was stuck in the tree for 4 before the silver scale curse slowly started to spread but suddenly when the dream butterfly was killed it spread all over her body within a few episodes.
20. Rushed Abilities
The abilities within the yashahime series are quickly inherited and lackluster.
Ex. towa instantly receives the energy blade after meeting the mistress three eyes.
towa receiving the azure dragon wave.
after myoga explains inuyasha's tessaiga absorbing demon energy, towa instantly receives the skill to absorb demon energy with her energy blade.
moroha receiving the crimson backlash wave.
towa receiving twin azure dragon wave.
In the original, the tenseiga was able to revive people once with no time limit as it revived goshinki and rin but in yashahime they decided to give it a stupid 1 hour time limit.
setsuna quickly mastering the yukari no tachikiri after 2 incidents with sea snake woman and mayonaka.
towa instantly mastering the zanseiken.
setsuna instantly achieving vermilion bird ambush.
moroha instantly mastered the bow she received from her parents.
21. Background Characters
The creators of yashahime really didn't put any thought into what to do with the characters.
Ex. The higurashi family basically didn't do anything as in episode 2 they were just get kidnapped and standing there and in episode 3 when towa, setsuna, and moroha were interacting with each other, all they did was silently standing there and didn't speak to them.
With shiori, they barely changed anything about her appearance except she now wears woven sandals and different hairpins and worst short as she doesn't and let's little children fight for her.
With koga and ayame, they only make a very small non-speaking cameo at the end of episode 15 and don't even have children of their own.
22. Hairstyles
The creators of yashahime really didn't put much thought into most hairstyles such as takechiyo, kikunosuke, kin'u, gyokuto, rion, and futa have the same styles.
23. Bad Animation
In episodes of season 1 and 2, you can see multiple terrible animation mistakes.
Ex. Setsuna flying away from towa and moroha.
zero laying on the ground and rin coming out from her slumber when zero died.
I'm looking for a fic, I think it's a bit older, but the writer might be here on Tumblr. In the story, it's after Kagome comes back from the future, and she and Inuyasha get married. They become very close to Sesshomaru, and he even calls Kagome his sister (I believe.) She ends up pregnant with triplets. I think the writer was working on a sequel story, and the babies were not born by the end of the first story. I also know that in the story, Inuyasha has the ability to enter or see others' dreams... and I think he has an actual dog form as well?
Hi, anon, thanks for the ask! We do believe we have the answer you're looking for. The original work was posted on FFN, but the author has since posted it on AO3 with minor edits. Note that it's archive locked, so you'll need an account to read on there! For those who don't have an account, we've included both versions, plus its sequel, which is only available on FFN. Happy reading! ❤
Verlaine (sesshomaru) gang
BSD Inuyasha AU post
Verlaine uses brutalization (dog demon form) to stop dazai from giving the hat (tetsusaiga) to chuuya because it will give him more control over his destructive powers and:
better control=recklessness=dangerous situations=grave injuries=death
(He's an overthinker and an overprotective brother) this happened inside a black book (black pearl) that can suck up anyone who touches it in a portable space, that space being the place where the exorcists (scientists) experimented on them.
Gin as rin who's selectively mute because of the abuse she's suffered after being separated from his brother (Ryuu journeyed alone for fear of hurting her, regretted it, and came back to the other orphans slaughtered by wolves, he thought her dead) but still a compassionate person who helped Verlaine recover (he taught her some easy assassination skills while technically bed ridden, because "why is this girl skinny and perpetually bruised??" some self defense ought to help)
Rimbaud as verlaine's companion ever since paul decimated the transcendents (tribe) forcing him to do their hard work. At first he saw a strong yet unpolished individual to hone like the tribe did to him but overtime they overcame each other's walls and became closer. (They're lovers by the way, oh verlaine kinda adopted gin, so i guess they're a family now)
Tessaiga as another hat (a different one) that could help control and enhance healing powers. When gin died and rimbaud arrived wearing the hat (he was planning to give it back to Verlaine since it was left after the brothers' fight) he was suddenly able to see gin's soul and keep it in her body using illumination so he did (partly because she was a child, mostly because he saw the devastated look in verlaine's face)
Guivre as a-un, he didn't have a name until gin gave him one (it was her first spoken words too! Rimbaud is very proud, Verlaine too, they give him throwing knives as a gift). He looks like a mini Godzilla and could spit (miniscule) beams of gravity, he's gin's personal body guard and transportation (since verlaine just flies and rimbaud can travel using illumination)
Sesshomaru Frames Part 213 (Movie 3)
The Mokomoko protected Sesshomaru from being striked by Takemaru, let's be grateful to it. But I wonder if it hurt Sesshomaru a bit since it's a part of his dog form. 💦
*Drabble*
Tumblr media
It's the thought that counts.
Ao3
Rin usually loved Sesshomaru’s gifts, but when he was in his dog form, all the sophistication and taste he typically displayed went out the window. Case in point: his current offering had her struggling to keep the veneer of appreciation on her face.
The huge canine wagged it’s tail, looking exceptionally proud, a giant serpent dangling like an old piece of rope from it’s mouth. He dropped the dead snake at her feet and barked as if to say, “don’t you like your present?”
Rin gave a strained smile. “It’s perfect,” she lied.
And really, who needed another kimono, anyway?
